SlightSync allows synchronized viewing of the slides/pages from a PDF file by just opening the same URL at different locations.
To get started, the PDF file must be accessible over the internet, and the link should be entered below. Due to cross origin limitations, it may not be possible to use any PDF location: the server where it's stored must allow the scripts on this page to download the file. Known to work are

Many thanks to the Expertise Centre for Digital Media (EDM) for hosting the default synchronization server. However, if you don't want to use this default synchronization server you can download it and install it on your own server. This is a Node.js version and needs the websocket and node-rsa packages.

Congratulations! You did it! You now have created two URLs that can be used for shared, synchronized viewing of the PDF file. Feel free to open them right now for a quick test.
Everyone who opens the Master URL will always be able to change the page, and will always be able to show an indicator at some position. By default, people who open the Slave URL will be able to view the selected page, but will not be able to change it. However, the masters can of course grant permission for these actions.
